Project & Certification Manager (Engineering / Manufacturing) (m/f/d)
Hong Kong Based | BSc Mech Eng / Automotive Eng / Aerospace Eng | 10 years of experience
To support our continued business growth, we are seeking a Project & Certification Manager with an engineering or manufacturing background to oversee project & product certification planning, execution, progress monitoring and budgeting - ensuring smooth execution and successful delivery for our clients.
You should be willing to travel globally for projects and to China for working with suppliers, flexible with working hours (occasionally) due to our international partner base, and comfortable with using English as well as Mandarin to work with overseas suppliers and diverse team members.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the full product development cycle — from concept ideation to final production with certifications
Collaborate closely with customers to understand design intent, compliance requirements, and delivery expectations
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, procurement, production, manufacturing and certification partners
Manage product certifications, project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure optimal outcomes
Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose efficiency improvements while maintaining quality standards
Work primarily from the Hong Kong office, with travel to factories in China and overseas for technical coordination, project alignment and quality control
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines
10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with proven exposures of project management & product certifications
Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently liaise effectively with clients and factory teams
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, CAD, and SolidWorks
Strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese
Experience in working with factories in China and is a strong advantage
Experience in the automotive industry and seats certification is a plus
Willingness to travel to China and overseas
Diligent, responsible, and possess strong professional ethics and teamwork spirit
