The Butterfly team is working on an advanced prototype of the single-aisle aircraft version of the Butterfly seat, bringing the concept much closer to reality.
With extensive input from seasoned industry veterans as well as work from experienced engineering providers, the latest design answers to a lot of requests based on feedback from airlines on previous year’s mock-up, including greater recline, more compact footprint and IFE integration. The simplicity, maintainability, and certifiability have also been enhanced.
Over 17 suppliers are providing components for the project, showing their trust in the market viability of the concept.
Three rows of demonstrator seats are being assembled, and they will be available to be shipped worldwide to airline’s premises for testing.
