Butterfly Single-Aisle Unveiled at AIX

June 17, 2022

The latest Butterfly Single-Aisle suites had been unveiled publicly at the Aircraft Interior Expo held in Hamburg from 14 to 16 June 2022.

Optimized for single-aisle aircraft such as the A320 and B737, Butterfly Single-Aisle’s extra-wide seats and lower pitch requirement makes full use of the available cabin width, while an all-manual option for seat recline minimizes weight as well as maintenance cost.

The demonstrators were showcased at the stands of Tapis and Kydex, our key sponsors, and featured extensive use of high-performance aviation fabrics provided by Tapis, as well as aviation-grade thermoplastics with proprietary Infused Imaging™ technology provided by Sekisui Kydex.

The latest Butterfly demonstrators were created in collaboration with our many sponsors, who have kindly provided aviation-grade components for the project. The other sponsors include Aeroworks, Ancra, Astronics, Bühler Motor, Crane Aerospace & Electronics, General Aerospace, Igus, Mesag, Metzo, MGR Foamtex, New Design’Air, Reell, Rollon, Schroth, and Thales.

Please click on the gallery above to see various AIX impressions and how people enjoyed the seat in its different modes.
